We are delighted to invite you to our next CEO Dinner, to be held on the 4th of March at the Matild Palace Hotel for which we are glad to announce that we’ll be joined by Mr. Matt Shen, Managing Director of CATL Germany & Hungary.
During the event, you will have the chance to enjoy the customary three-course dinner with wine & welcome drinks while getting to hear one of the industry’s foremost professionals views on recent developments and current industry affairs. Our Chairman, Mr Duncan Graham will also be joining us to give his opening remarks to the event.
Our guest Mr Shen oversees CATL’s European operations as Managing Director and leads the
company’s commercial development across the region.
Based in Germany with his wife and three children, Shen brings over a decade of experience in the battery and automotive industry, both in Europe and globally. After earning his Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, he began his career at ATL in 2010.
In 2012, he joined CATL at its founding, following Dr. Robin Zeng, and played a key role in launching the company’s first projects with BMW. Since then, Shen has held several leadership positions, helping to establish and grow CATL’s strategic partnerships with European OEMs and global automotive players.
In 2025, alongside his commercial responsibilities, Shen was also appointed to lead CATL’s European production facilities in Arnstadt (Germany) and Debrecen (Hungary). Today, he drives both the ramp-up of production capacity and the commercial expansion of CATL in close collaboration with the global headquarters and local European teams.
