Ibolya Tarjáni joined GSK in November 2024 as the Managing Director and Site Director for the Gödöllő site, bringing nearly three decades of experience in industry, 25 in the pharmaceutical industry. Her career has been deeply shaped by a personal experience: her father’s illness at a young age. Witnessing the impact of the disease on her family drove her profound commitment to healthcare and motivated her to improve people’s lives through science.

Ibolya’s extensive pharmaceutical career reflects her passion to the industry and her dedication to driving change. Over the years, she has held pivotal roles such as Site Leader, Quality Director, and Global Quality Leader, gaining valuable experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, and strategy. She has developed a broad expertise in areas such as plasma-based manufacturing, biopharma, and chemical entities, providing her with a deeper understanding of the complexities and strategic aspects of vaccine manufacturing.
Her academic background includes Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering, as well as an MBA. The combination of professional knowledge and lifelong learning underscores her commitment to innovation and continuous development.
As the leader of GSK’s Gödöllő site, Ibolya aims to establish the site as a center of excellence in vaccine ingredients manufacturing. Under her leadership, Gödöllő strives to enhance its capabilities by employing cutting-edge technologies and world-class practices. The vaccine ingredients produced at the site play a crucial role in protecting the health of infants, children, and the elderly, ensuring a safer and healthier future for the world’s most vulnerable populations. For Ibolya, ensuring continuous environmental sustainability during production and operations is of paramount importance. Therefore, she strives to achieve carbon neutrality and consciously manage energy resources.
