Early Years – learning through play
At the Early Years centre in Budapest, they teach the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. The play-based programme nurtures creativity and curiosity, and inspires children to imagine, investigate, and discover. Guided by specialist early childhood educators – and learning in dedicated, age-appropriate spaces – children thrive. BISB encourages learning through active play. It is known that children learn best when they’re happy, engaged, and motivated, which is why the School offers a wide range of opportunities that both fascinate and challenge.
In the safe and happy Early Years centre, students ‘play to learn’, developing their natural enquiry, creativity, and critical thinking skills. The School makes full use of its wonderful playgrounds, too, which are an extension of the classroom.
Children immerse themselves in a variety of outdoor experiences that not only develop their movement and gross motor skills, but which are also lots of fun. BISB’s teachers are committed to students’ holistic development. Abundantly qualified and with a wealth of experience, the teachers and experts nurture and inspire the youngest students to achieve incredible things. Children love learning on the campus, with its tranquil natural surroundings and outstanding facilities. These include a warm and welcoming Early Years Centre, which is the perfect place for an adventure. Here, students explore, learn, and discover in bright classrooms, colourful playgrounds, and a sensory mud kitchen.
Primary School at BISB
At BISB, the Primary School offers outstanding opportunities for discovery with exceptional project-based learning. The international primary school teachers expand students’ knowledge and understanding in the core subjects, as well as music and languages. Children also benefit from tailored support that nurtures their personal, social, and physical growth. The School teaches the British National Curriculum for England, which develops the fundamental knowledge and skills every child needs to flourish.
As well as focusing on English, mathematics, and science, children grow personally, socially, and emotionally. They’ll learn beyond the classroom, too, through experiential activities that include residential trips, music lessons, and cultural activities. The School’s international primary school teachers are committed to children’s personal and academic growth. Abundantly qualified and with a wealth of British national curriculum experience, exceptional educators inspire students to achieve more than they ever imagined possible.
The school still has limited spaces available in its Early Years (ages 3-5) and Primary school (ages 5-11). To apply to BISB, please contact the admissions team at admissions@bisb.hu.
