We would like to invite you to a free morning breakfast seminar concerning ESG, with a specific focus on social and corporate governance titled ESG Challenges with Hungarian Specialities, held in cooperation with our members VJT & Partners, sponsored by and held at BCCH member EST Grand Hotel Savoy.
VJT&Partners’ expert Andrea Belényi will join us to share her insight into ESG from a Hungarian perspective:
In the business world, performance is no longer measured by financial indicators alone, but increasingly by the environmental, social and governance (ESG) awareness of companies. Sustainability expectations are also putting increasing pressure on market players from investors and consumers. And employees are placing expectations on their employers from their own perspective (well-being at work, family-friendly workplace, etc.). There is a growing demand for sustainable and transparent operations. These challenges have been present for years in the lives of companies, which are increasingly allocating resources to improving environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and meeting compliance requirements. This also requires increasing attention from companies. In addition, the Hungarian regulator is placing compliance monitoring in the hands of the authorities.
These expectations will also transform the way businesses operate, with positive effects for the environment and for employees.
The topicality of the issue is that, in addition to the rules adopted by the European Union, Hungary is also setting new requirements for companies in relation to sustainable development and social and societal performance.
The presentation and the subsequent discussion will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about the requirements and to discuss issues arising in practice in an informal way.
