We are pleased to report that our 2020 AGM went without any probelm or obstruction.

Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, the year’s AGM was held online, a first in the Chamber’s history. The transition was seamless, using the experience we’ve picked up from our Context Series and we believe the members who were present experienced a fluid and efficient event.

The highlight of this year’s AGM was the last official appearance of Mr Iain Lindsay OBE, who had just finished his tenure as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Hungary, but delighted us with a long, yet enthralling summary of the past year and his view going forward. We can’t thank Mr Lindsay enough for what he’s done for the Chamber and for UK-Hungary relations over the past few years.

Outside that, there weren’t many specific points of interest or unexpected developments. All reports were passed without issue, as expected after such a successful year, so our activities continue uninterrupted.

Hopefully, next year we won’t have to be taking emergency measures and we’ll bea able to see you in person at the next AGM.
