Last Wednesday, on the 13th of May, we successfully launched BCCH’s new series of online events, entitled Context.
We set out to provide our members with worthwhile useful content until we meet again in person and to accomplish that goal, we selected a panel featuring both the diplomatic and the corporate sectors engaging diverse viewpoints within the time slot allocated.
HMA Mr Iain Lindsay OBE, shared with us his personal experiences and the efforts undertaken in the UK in the wake of the pandemic, which is still very much affecting Britain. He talked extensively about the recovery process and how it is being executed, which you can find on this link.
Our board members, Judit Iglódi-Csató from GSK and Péter Gyúrós from Shell also touched upon a range of far reaching topics that were timely and their highly insightful responses hopefully proved useful for many of the attendees.
Highlights from Judit’s responses included her personal, insider account on the near future regarding GSK’s efforts to counter the pandemic which you can find here. Judit also talked about the changes in doctor-patient contact, about which you can hear more on this link.
Péter’s similarly broad range of topics saw an alternative corporate viewpoint, one from a different, but similarly widely-affected industry. If you would like to find out how they are overcoming the hurdles you can see more here.
Any BCCH Member who is interested in seeing the full 1 hour program can request the recording at firstname.lastname@example.org regardless whether their company was registered to attend or not.
All in all, we can conclude a highly-successful, problem-free debut for Context and we extend our thanks to everyone who presented and to those who attended for their respective parts in our success. We are already in the process of organising the follow-up, with a very different lineup for even more diverse viewpoints so stay tuned.
See you soon and until then, stay safe.
