Join us, HMA Mr Paul Fox and our Board and Supervisory Board nominees on 20\u00a0May 2025 for our AGM!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The\u00a0<\/span>British Chamber of Commerce in Hungary<\/strong>\u00a0invites you to our<\/span><\/p>\n 2025 Annual General Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n Date and time:<\/strong>\u00a0Tuesday, 20\u00a0May\u00a02025, 16:00-20:00<\/span> The event is free of charge for BCCH Members and we request all members to have a representative on the spot,\u00a0especially considering that this year is an election year<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n Please note once again that, in accordance with our Charter,\u00a0we need all our members to attend personally or by representative (proxy)<\/strong><\/u>\u00a0to make sure we meet the quorum for an AGM to be held validly. The required quorum is more than 50 percent of the voting members present (50 % + 1 person).<\/span><\/p>\n In line with the BCCH Charter,\u00a0we will elect a new Council and a Chairperson<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0as well as a new Supervisory Board\u00a0for the\u00a0Chamber who will serve\u00a0for two years.<\/span><\/p>\n Agenda and nominees soon to be announced.\u00a0Details of the event will also be\u00a0available on our site and regularly updated to represent any changes in the itinerary.<\/p>\n Board Nominees<\/strong><\/p>\n Candidates for the Chairman position<\/strong> Candidates for Council membership<\/strong> Candidates for the Supervisory Board<\/strong> Preliminary Agenda (subject to finalisation)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n You can find the documents package on this link<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span> – necessary papers and profiles will be uploaded once ready<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Participation at the official part of the AGM is for members only and free of charge, but please note that only a maximum of two people from any member company may attend, and each voting member company will have the right to one vote only.<\/strong><\/p>\n In voting for the Chairman, Council Members and Supervisory Board members, each voting member\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>will receive ONE voting sheet<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0at the event. The voting sheet will contain the name of the candidates for the Council, for the Chair position and for the Supervisory Board. A total of eight votes may be cast on the voting sheets (seven for Councillors and one for the Chairperson) and a total of three votes may be cast on the voting sheets in relation to the Supervisory Board. Whilst conducting the vote, we will ensure anonymity and exercise full discretion, as is required. The candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to Council and Supervisory Board Membership. The documents will also be sent to every registree via email a week before the event.<\/p>\n If no quorum is present at the time of the Annual General Meeting, the adjourned General Meeting shall convene at\u00a016:15, 20\u00a0May 2025\u00a0<\/strong>at the same place and such meeting shall have a quorum as regards the matters included in the agenda of the previous Meeting, regardless of the number of Members present or represented.<\/p>\n Members who are entitled to vote but cannot delegate anyone from the company to attend the Annual General Meeting will have the option to appoint a representative of another BCCH voting member with discretionary power to vote for and on behalf of them with a written proxy, a form for which is available\u00a0here<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/a>. The number of proxies that a BCCH member can present at the event is limited to a maximum of two. (Please note that the proxy form must\u00a0be presented only if the delegate works for another member company, it is not needed if the delegate works within the same firm).<\/p>\n A member whose membership fee has not been fully paid before the AGM may not\u00a0be entitled to attend and vote.
