The\u00a0<\/span>British Chamber of Commerce in Hungary<\/strong>\u00a0invites you to our<\/span><\/p>\n 2023 Annual General Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n Date:<\/strong>\u00a0Wednesday, 17 May\u00a02023, 16:00-20:00<\/span> The event is free of charge for BCCH Members and we request all members have a representative on the spot,\u00a0especially considering this year is an election year<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Please note that, in accordance with our charter, we need all our member companies to attend via\u00a0a delegate<\/strong><\/u>\u00a0to make sure we meet the quorum for a valid AGM.<\/span><\/p>\n In line with the BCCH Charter,\u00a0we will elect a new Council and a Chairperson<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0for the\u00a0Chamber who will serve on the Board for 2 years.<\/p>\n You will\u00a0find all\u00a0the important documents regarding the finances and statements\u00a0here<\/span><\/a><\/u>.<\/strong>\u00a0(Open link in new window to access the drive.)<\/span><\/p>\n New to this year’s AGM and crucially,\u00a0<\/span>open to non-members<\/strong>\u00a0is the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Presentations and Q&A Session with Rolls-Royce’s\u00a0Managing Director\u00a0Dr Gy\u00f6rgy Bal\u00e1zs, and Director of Engineering at Jaguar-Land Rover Mr Nevijo Mance, moderated by Randstad’s Petra Polg\u00e1r.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n Board Nominees<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Candidates for the Chairman position<\/strong> Candidates for Council membership<\/strong> Candidates for the Supervisory Board<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n Agenda<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n 15:30\u00a0\u2013 Registration opens Voting and attendance information<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Participation at the official part of the AGM is for members only and free of charge, but please note that only a maximum of two people from any member company may attend, and each voting member company will have the right to one vote only.<\/strong><\/p>\n In voting for the Chairman and Council Members, each voting member company\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>will receive ONE voting sheet<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0at the event. The voting sheet will contain the name of the candidates for the Council and for the Chair position. A total of seven votes can be cast on the voting sheets (six for Councillors and one for the Chairperson). Whilst conducting the vote, we will ensure anonymity and excercise full discretion, as is required. The candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to Council Membership. The documents will also be sent to every registree via email a week before the event.<\/p>\n If no quorum is present at the time of the Annual General Meeting, the adjourned General Meeting shall convene at\u00a016:15\u00a0on 17 May 2023\u00a0<\/strong>at the same place and such meeting shall have a quorum as regards the matters included in the agenda of the previous Meeting, regardless of the number of Members present or represented.<\/p>\n Members who are entitled to vote but cannot delegate anyone from the company to attend the Annual General Meeting will have the option to appoint a representative of another BCCH voting member with discretionary power to vote for and on behalf of them with a written proxy, a form for which is available\u00a0here<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/a>. The number of proxies that a BCCH member can present at the event is limited to a maximum of two.<\/p>\n A member whose membership fee has not been fully paid before the AGM may not\u00a0be entitled to attend and vote, so if in doubt please contact our colleagues at the Finance Department of the BCCH at\u00a0finance@bcch.com.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Individual and Honorary members are non-voting members but have the right to attend and observe the AGM.<\/p>\n If you wish to\u00a0join\u00a0the event as a sponsor,\u00a0you can find<\/strong>\u00a0the\u00a0sponsorship agreement\u00a0here<\/span><\/u><\/a>.
