Budapest British International School Receives Full IB Diploma Accreditation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n BBIS is delighted to receive official authorisation to operate the IB Diploma and is proud to join the worldwide community of International Baccalaureate World Schools.<\/span><\/p>\n The announcement creates the first continuous IB World School for Secondary age students in Budapest.<\/span><\/p>\n Students can now begin the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and continue their IB learning through to the completion of the Diploma (DP) in the same school. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cBuilding this continuum is both a \u2018significant achievement\u2019 and an \u2018achievement of significance\u2019, which has involved the support and dedication from a wide range of people. From the earliest days when BBIS owner Petra Szalai set the ambition to become an IB World School, through the application process and now the final authorisation, a huge amount of work has been undertaken.<\/span><\/p>\n DP coordinator Penny Clements, steered BBIS through the development of an exciting and dynamic educational offer for students in their final two years of schooling and received 18 commendations from the IB verification team for the setup of the programme.<\/span><\/p>\n This demonstrates not only our commitment to the IB philosophy but also reflects the detailed and comprehensive planning Ms. Clements and her team have put into the process.
