The British Chamber of Commerce in Hungary invites you to the

2024 Annual General Meeting

Date: Wednesday, 15 May 2024, 16:00-20:00
Venue: Corinthia Hotel – 1073, Erzsébet krt. 43-49.

The event is free of charge for BCCH members and we request all members have a representative on the spot.

We are excited to announce that this year we will be hosting the AGM at one of our trusted long-term members, Corinthia Hotel Budapest. The meeting will take place in the hotel’s Petőfi room and after the formal half, we will carry on with the customary networking half, including cocktail canapés and drinks on the main terrace.

Please note once again that, in accordance with our Charter, we need all our members to attend personally or by representative (proxy) to make sure we meet the quorum for a valid AGM to be held validly. The required quorum is more than 50 percent of the voting members present (50 % + 1 person).

If no quorum is present at the time of the Annual General Meeting, the adjourned General Meeting shall convene at 16:15 on 15 May 2024 at the same place and such meeting shall have a quorum as regards the matters included in the agenda of the previous meeting, regardless of the number of members present or represented.

Early May – You will receive all the important documents uploaded to a Google Drive folder via email, including the proxy form and all financial reports. The link will appear here once everything is uploaded and will be sent to every registered guest before the event.

16:30 – Vote on accepting the Chairman’s Report, Financial Report and the Auditor’s Report, vote on the approval of the annual budget of BCCH for 2024 – You will be sent the reports via the aforementioned e-mail before the event.
16:35-16:55 – Fireside Chat with Gergely Kiss from Attrecto – Generative AI Today

16:55-17:00 – The results are announced, then the moderator closes the official half of the AGM.

Attendance information:

Participation at the official part of the AGM is for members only and free of charge, but please note that only a maximum of two persons delegated by any member may attend, and each voting member will have the right to one vote only.

Participation fee (only applicable to non-member attendees): 20,000 HUF (incl. VAT)

Participation fees (a gross amount of HUF 20,000 for non-member attendees only) are to be transferred to the bank account of the BCCH to Magyarországi Brit Kereskedelmi Kamara at Budapest Bank, HU72-10102244-82717800-01004000 (Swift code: BUDAHUHB, HUF bank account) with the indication of the event title (AGM) on the transfer notice. Please note that the original invoice will be issued and sent to the email address provided in the registration process of the event once the event has taken place.

Members who are entitled to vote but cannot delegate anyone from the organisation of the member to attend the Annual General Meeting will have the option to appoint a representative of another BCCH voting member with discretionary power to vote for and on behalf of them by way of a written proxy, a form for which is available here. The number of proxies that a BCCH member can present at the event is limited to a maximum of two. (Please note that the proxy form has to be presented only if the delegate is associated with for another member, it is not needed if the delegate is associated with the same firm).

A member whose membership fee has not been fully paid before the AGM may not be entitled to attend and vote, so if in doubt please contact our colleagues at the Finance Department of the BCCH at finance@bcch.com.

Honorary members as set forth in article 4.3.5. of the Charter and non-voting members as set forth in article 4.3.4. of the Charter of BCCH are not entitled to vote but have the right to attend and observe the AGM.
