A new literary event series titled “A cup of Stories” was launched by Shell in Hungary
Shell Hungary’s first standalone café in Hungary was the venue for a special event in December, when Shell Hungary undertook to revive centuries-old Hungarian café traditions. Anna Juhász, guided the audience through the relationship between literature and café, accompanied by Krisztián Grecsó, a popular contemporary Hungarian writer. Krisztián has won numerous literary awards and his works have been published in 9 languages so far. During the discussion, Anna Juhász’s guest shared fascinating stories about her life and the role of literature in it. At the end of the evening, which was spiced up with velvety Shell coffee specialities, Krisztián Grecsó gave a festive reading to the literature fans.
With the newly launched series of events, titled Csészényi Történetek (“A cup of Stories”), Shell Hungary aims to revive a literary tradition, to keep young people interested in reading and to give readers the opportunity to meet their favourite authors in person. Shell Hungary operates 131 Shell Cafés at its filling stations in Hungary, the 132nd is a unique café opened a few months ago in the shopping centre in Budaörs, which entices visitors to the restaurant for a velvety barista coffee or other refreshing drink and pastries before or after a big shopping spree.
