Dr. Imre Deák, CEO of Danubius Hotels Group retires at the end of 2016
Dr. Imre Deák has been the Chief Executive Officer at the company group since 2006. In the course of his career, he has first acted as general manager then was elected member of the management. During his assignment as CEO for a decade, the group faced several challenges and he always managed these changes confidently. Danubius Hotels Group managed to stay a strong and compatible company despite the fact that the sector was hit by several crises periods.
Dr. Imre Deák as a dedicated hotelier focused on guest satisfaction at all times and gave priority to the interests of the employees. His loyalty towards the company and the shareholders has remained constant over the years. Dr. Deak will stay in his office till the end of December this year, however, he will remain on the board of Danubius as a non-executive director and so we will continue to benefit from his experience and knowledge.
The Chief Executive Officer of Danubius Hotels Group will be Balázs Kovács, the present Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the group as of 1 January 2017. Balázs Kovács has gathered experience in hotel operations over and above the field of sales and marketing in the recent years. It is his dedication to the hotel industry and related professional experience that will provide the company group with a strong foundation to compete effectively in a business environment that is constantly changing and throwing up new challenges.
